Pat Cummins reacted to a reporter’s question on England’s loss against Sri Lanka in M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on the 26th of October in the ODI World Cup 2023. After England lost the match against Sri Lanka by 8 wickets, a journalist asked the Australian captain about his opinion on the match, ahead of Australia’s match against New Zealand in Dharamshala.
“I imagine you would have been heartbroken to see England suffer defeat last night. What was your reaction to that, given you’ve got them in a couple of games’ time?” asked the journalist. Pat Cummins was seen smiling at the question of the journalist. Throughout the press conference, the smile of Cummins did not fade away. Cummins reacted to the question in a cheeky way.
“Obviously got them in a couple of games’ time, so we’ll have a close look there. But yeah, it was sad to see,” reacted Cummins to the question of the journalist. Though Cummins expressed that he was sad to see the loss of England, his expressions seemed to suggest something else. There was a cheeky smile from the Australian captain, as he reacted to the question of the journalist.
