India vs Australia 2023

‘It is certainly possible! If anyone can do it, it’s Virat Kohli’- Harbhajan Singh confident of Virat Kohli breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s biggest record

The fourth Test match between India and Australia has ended in a draw.

Virat Kohli has broken the jinx in Test cricket. The 34-year-old made a stellar hundred in Ahmedabad and, thereby, broke the century drought in Test cricket. There was a gap of 41 innings between his 27th and 28th Test Hundred. Kohli played a classy innings of 186 off 364 balls with 15 fours. The former India captain batted very differently and there were subdued celebrations when he reached the century mark.

Kohli’s innings helped India to respond well to Australia’s massive first innings total of 480. He was provided support by Axar Patel, who made a stroke-filled 79 off 113 balls with five fours and three sixes to give India some much-needed momentum in the innings.

KS Bharat also made an enterprising 44 off 88 balls with two fours and three sixes. Harbhajan Singh spoke on Kohli and said that he could break Sachin Tendulkar’s special record.

‘I don’t think he will stop from here’ – Harbhajan Singh

“It’s certainly possible. I think he can score more than that (100 centuries). Two things favour Virat here; his age, and his fitness. He’s 34 but his fitness is that of a 24-year-old cricketer. He’s 34 but his fitness is that of a 24-year-old cricketer. He’s way ahead in that aspect. He has already scored 75 centuries, he can score at least 50 more. He knows his game and he plays all formats. ” Harbhajan said on Sports Tak.

“You might think I’m going overboard with this, but it is certainly possible. If anyone can do it, it’s Virat Kohli. Rest all are far behind him. He knew he had to work on his fitness, because his batting abilities are god-gifted. I don’t think he will stop from here. There are no technical faults, and even if they are, he works on them and rectifies them. Since his return (after break), he has already scored five centuries. This is pretty much a comeback for him,” The former India off spinner added.

India have drawn the last Test at Ahmedabad against Australia and have taken the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1. This is the first time that the national side has gone winless in two consecutive Tests at home. Besides, this is the fourth time India have beaten Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
