KL Since it has been acknowledged for a while, Rahul’s issues as a batter are psychological in nature. When he’s on, he’s one of the best T20 batter in the world, but he has a propensity to withdraw and chew up balls.

Since he has been in charge, Rahul’s intentions at the head of the order have only become worse. His strike rates don’t make for pleasant reading, and he has been the IPL’s captain since 2020. He last reached over 140 strikes in a competition in 2018. Rahul could be freed up as a batter without the extra burden.
