Women’s 20-20 World Cup 2023: Three players for whom this could be the last World Cup

The 2023 Women's World Cup will be played in South Africa.

The Women’s 20-20 World Cup 2023 will be held in South Africa, starting on 10th February. The marquee event is being held at the Rainbow Nation right after the Women’s U19 20-20 World Cup was held recently. The Proteas also hosted a tri-series before the World Cup which involved India and West Indies. South Africa is also playing host to the SA20 and also had a short one-day series against England which the Men’s Team won 2-1.

The 20-20 World Cup will be a wonderful spectacle to watch as the cricket will be high octane and the players will want to put their best foot forward for their national sides and get their hands on the elusive silverware.

While some youngsters will be keen to do well in the high-profile competition, others would be calling an end to their careers. Let us take a look at 3 Women’s players for whom this tournament might be their last:

3. Nida Dar

She has played domestic cricket for Pakistan Universities, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, Sialkot and Sydney Thunder. She made her T20I debut against Sri Lanka in 2010 at St Kitt’s in the West Indies. She won the PCB Women’s Cricketer of the year in 2021. At 36 years, this World Cup could be her last.
