CSK beat RCB by 8 runs to secure their third win in IPL 2023

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings played a thrilling game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Chennai Super Kings took the small ground to their advantage and raked up the big runs. They had notable contributions from Shivam Dube and Devon Conway. Conway made 83 off 45 balls with six fours and six sixes. Dube made a cracking 52 off 27 balls with two fours and five sixes.

During the course of the game, a young fan held up an interesting placard which said Hi Virat, can i take Vamika out on a date. This speaks volumes of Virat Kohli and the fan following around him. He has a huge demographic of fans. Both young and old who want a piece of him in some way or the other. Coming to the match, it turned out to be a high scoring run fest.

CSK ended up scoring 226-6 in their 20 overs. In the second innings, There were fighting contributions from Faf du Plessis who scored 62 off 33 balls with five fours and four sixes. Glenn Maxwell made an electrifying 76 off 36 balls with three fours and six sixes. In the end, there was blitz from Dinesh Karthik who hit a quickfire 28 off 14 balls with three fours and one six. In the end it was so near yet so far for RCB as they lost by 8 runs.

RCB have started the season on a very inconsistent note. They have been plagued with problems. When it comes to death bowling, the Bold Army has not been up to the mark. They also have not helped themselves by taking some absolutely bizarre decisions in the middle order. They have still relied on individual brilliance and have not been able to string the perfect performance as a team.

Kohli though has been in good form. He is striking at 147 and has had three half-centuries to his name. RCB have not been able to win the elusive IPL Trophy. But they have made it to three finals in the IPL. If the Bold Army have to turn their fortunes around then they have to take some drastic measures.
