New Zealand batter Devon Conway had a good game in the first Test against England. The left-handed opening batter scored a fluent 77 off 151 balls, with seven fours and one six. His valuable contribution at the top of the order helped New Zealand get close to England’s first-innings total of 325-9.

Conway made headlines for another reason as he attended a training session for the Test match on a moped. The video has been doing the rounds on social media. In the video, Conway comes to practice on a moped with his kit bag slung on his shoulders. This is a very uncommon sight as the players prefer to drive to the ground in their cars. The other option would be to take the team bus. The moped is a light transport vehicle which is mostly used by kids.

Here is Devon Conway’s video-

Conway has had a short Test career so far, but it has been one to cherish as he has scored 1229 runs in just 13 matches at an average of 53.43 and a strike rate of 52.32. He has scored four hundreds and six fifties. He has the highest score of 200.

Conway has also been a good T20I player for New Zealand. Another advantage of having him is that he can also keep wickets. The Kiwi batter has scored 1234 runs in T20Is. He has scored runs at an average of 45.70 and a strike rate of 130.30. He has scored nine half-centuries and has the highest score of an unbeaten 99. The opener is also a good player of spin.

Conway will be a vital cog in the wheel for the blackcaps when they come to the World Cup in India which will be held this year. He is also a vital part of the Chennai franchise in the Indian T20 League. He had scored 252 runs in seven matches at the Indian T20 League at an average of 42 and a strike rate of 145.66 and has scored three fifties and the highest score of 87.
