The 11th match of the Caribbean Premier League kicked off between St Lucia Kings and Barbados Royals at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. The toss was won by the Barbados Royals, and they elected to bowl first. For the St Lucia Kings, Jhonson Charles got a quickfire 29 from 25 balls to get his team going which included 3 fours and 2 sixes. He was dismissed by Hayden Walsh. Dickwella and Du Plessis then got out in quick succession to Jason Holder and Justin Greaves, respectively.
Roston Chase perished to Oshane Thomas trying to up the ante. At 75-4, when St Lucia looked in big trouble, there were vital contributions from the lower order, with Mark Deyal scoring a quickfire 21 from 17 balls with 4 fours.
The overseas duo of Tim David and David Weise scored 40 and 28 runs, respectively, hitting a total of 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. This allowed St Lucia to get to a competitive total of 169-6 in their 20 overs. With the ball for Barbados, Hayden Walsh picked up 2 wickets and Oshane Thomas, Obed McCoy, Jason Holder and Justin Greaves picked up a wicket each in their spell.
The Barbados Royals were provided with the perfect start in the chase by Kyle Mayers, who has been in sensational form in the CPL so far. He scored a quickfire 33 from 26 balls with one boundary and 3 sixes.
Quinton De Kock departed early, but the young South African sensation, Corbin Bosch, scored a magnificent 81 from 50 balls with 10 fours and a six. This ensured that Barbados were always in the chase and the job was finished by David Miller and Jason Holder, who scored 29 and 7, respectively, with Miller getting the runs in 18 deliveries and striking 3 sixes in those 29 runs.
For St Lucia, Roston Chase picked up one wicket, while Alzarri Joseph picked up three. While St Lucia recorded yet another loss in the tournament, Barbados has been in fine form having won all of the 4 encounters that they have played in.

This Corbin Bosch selection by the Barbados Royals has been very interesting. Bosch was an outstanding bowler at the U-19 level for South Africa & followed it with years of poor performances.
Suddenly, he's back in the CPL & it's a weird decision. On a constant decline!

Corbin Bosch is continuing his good form with the bat in the Carribean. Man of the match performance with 81 off 50 deliveries, helping the Barbados Royals, captained by David Miller, to remain unbeaten in the competition so far#CPL2022
