YouTube personality Speed allegedly had his phone knocked out of his hand during an attack that occurred during the FA Cup final. The American, Darren Watkins Jr., was there at the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley.

The 18-year-old is a die-hard supporter of Manchester United and is present for the game. The social media sensation, however, appeared to be hit by a Manchester City fan in the audience in an odd incident. Speed seemed shocked as one of his teammates fought the attacker and fell to the ground. Since then, a video of the attack has amassed roughly 500,000 views on social media.

United suffered a 2-1 defeat in the championship game as City maintained their treble aspirations. After only 12 seconds, Ilkay Gundogan’s breathtaking volley gave City the lead. David de Gea was left helpless as the City end of Wembley erupted into a frenzy. Others might have thought that the floodgates would immediately open, but the Red Devils retaliated.

Bruno Fernandes controversially converted a penalty kick to tie the score. When VAR instructed referee Paul Tierney to check at the pitchside monitor, Jack Grealish was ruled to have handballed from within the area. But just after the break, Gundogan managed to score yet another volley, this time with a little less force.

De Gea stretched and attempted to block the ball with his hand, but was unable to do so due to the spin on the ball. United was unable to recover, and thanks to Gundogan’s two goals, Manchester City went on to win the FA Cup. With the Champions League remaining with Inter Milan as their opponent in the championship game, City now holds a two-thirds advantage in the treble.

Speed’s fascination with Cristiano Ronaldo has often been referenced. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was on the bench when the YouTube star travelled all the way to Qatar to watch Portugal compete in the World Cup. On YouTube, the young celebrity has roughly 13 million subscribers.
