India-Pakistan games are a sight to behold. When it comes to the clash of two subcontinental giants it becomes a grand spectacle. India and Pakistan could clash thrice in the upcoming Asia Cup. One game will be played between the two arch rivals in the group stages and one likely in the Super Four stage. If the two nations make it all the way to the final then they will face each other over there as well. As per reports, the ad revenue for the Asia Cup would be astronomical in numbers.

Disney Star may generate an Ad revenue of 400cr from Asia Cup 2023. A 10-second Ad during India vs. Pakistan will be of 25-30 Lakhs. Livemint wrote in its report. This will be a bumper catch for the Asian Cricket Council as tremendous amounts of revenue will be generated both from television and digital. While Star Sports will take care of the television broadcast, the digital rights rest in the hands of Disney Hotstar. This could give big amounts of revenue to India and the Asian Bloc.

Roger Binny and Rajiv Shukla will fly down to Pakistan to watch a couple of Asia Cup games

On another note, talking about the Indian media rights for the upcoming cycle, it is most certainly going to be a three-pronged battle between Disney Hotstar, Sony and the new entrant in Viacom 18. The auction for the media rights will be held on August 31. When it comes to Zee, since it did not present a standalone bid as the other companies it is widely believed that it would be part of the proceedings with Sony or the two companies would present a bid together for the rights.

This has been made possible as the Indian Cricket Board has given the go-ahead to allow consortium bids for the rights. It remains to be seen who will be the victor in this race. Meanwhile, it was stated that Roger Binny and Rajiv Shukla will fly to Pakistan and be in attendance for a couple of Asia Cup games there.
