Rohit Sharma comes across as an expressive captain and does not shy away from expressing himself on the field which is also why cricket fans love him for his nonchalant responses and reactions to tense situations on the field.

A similar incident happened on the field during the ongoing 2nd test match between India and England at Vizag where Rohit Sharma’s hilarious response to a TV replay left fans amused. It all happened in the 3rd over of the innings when a beautiful out-swinger from Jasprit Bumrah missed the outside edge of Zak Crawley’s bat.

While the bowler didn’t look that excited, the wicketkeeper looked somewhat interested in getting it reviewed as he felt that could be an edge. As the review timer ticked closer to its exhaustion the discussion between Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav regarding the edge as the latter was quite confident that it was an edge.

But the Indian captain thought otherwise and decided not to challenge the umpire’s decision with a review. However, the discussion between Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma heated up a bit with Rohit Sharma having the final say. It was later revealed in the TV replay that the ball missed the outside edge of the bat by quite some margin and at the end, the right call was taken by the captain.

Once the replay was shown on the big screen, Rohit Sharma hilariously showed thumbs up with both his hands to Kuldeep Yadav with a cheeky smile for his bizarre suggestion and almost putting a review in jeopardy, hence leaving the fans both in and outside the ground in splits. The whole fiasco even garnered a loud cheer from the Vizag crowd. Watch the video here:

After trailing in the series by 0-1, India is eyeing a solid comeback in the 2nd test and is currently in a comfortable position with England needing 399 runs to win in the fourth innings on a slow track which has started keeping low and has an uneven bounce in it which will further deteriorate as the game goes forward.
