Watch: Mr Nags takes a dig at Bangalore when he reminds them about the number of victories in WTL

Bangalore have not won an Indian T20 League title throughout 15 seasons. The Bold Army have made it to three finals in the Indian T20 League. This happened to be in 2009, 2011 and 2016. Bangalore are the third team after Mumbai and Chennai to make it to the playoffs most times. The franchise has made it to the playoffs thrice over the last three seasons. Bangalore are one of the most colourful franchises in the Indian T20 League.
Bangalore did not have the best of seasons in 2008. The team looked more like a Test team, and they could not put together a string of wins to continue their stay in the competition. The same can be said about Bangalore’s Women’s T20 League side. The side was a star-studded lineup consisting of the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Richa Ghosh, Renuka Singh Thakur and the like. Bangalore had a forgettable season as they could win only two games and ended fourth in the competition.

The Men’s team also have not been able to lay their hands on the Indian T20 League trophy. Bangalore have not been able to capitalise on the crunch moments which has cost them titles. These similarities have had fans on social media compare the Bangalore Men’s and Women’s sides. “I don’t like that kind of comparison because what he (Kohli) has achieved is amazing. I just hope that I reach that level, but I’m nowhere near. What he has achieved for this franchise (Bangalore), I would like to try and do that.”
Mr Nags who is portrayed by Danish Sait dwelt on this on the Bangalore Insider Show. MR Nags took a jibe at Virat Kohli and said what he felt of Mandhana’s claims that she would make big things happen for Bangalore just like Virat Kohli had done during his time as skipper of Bangalore.

“This is big franchise pressure. A lot of people take it as fun and games, ‘this team doesn’t win. Come play when you have so many expectations, we are a big team otherwise, why would we have so many fans if we had some faltu team?” This is how Kohli responded to the query.
