‘Best fanbase in the world’- Fans react to the crazy atmosphere at Chinnaswamy Stadium as Bangalore organizes mega unboxing event ahead of ITL 2023

The Bangalore franchise have already charged up their fans with a few days left for the Indian T20 League, as they organized a mega unboxing event at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore to unveil their new jersey for the upcoming season.

The real treat for the fans was watching their iconic trio get back together for the event. Virat Kohli, Ab De Villiers, and Chris Gayle made their appearance along with the whole Bangalore squad at the Chinnaswamy stadium. The players took a lap of honour across the ground and greeted their fans.

The two Bangalore legends will  be inducted into Hall of fame

Former South African skipper De Villiers and the Caribbean legend Gayle will be inducted into Bangalore’s Hall of fame and the franchise will also retire their jersey numbers (17 and 333) from the Indian T20 League. ABD joined the franchise in 2011 and played till 2021 before retiring from all formats of the game. Gayle first made his appearance for Bangalore from 2011 to 2017 before he was sold to the Punjab franchise in 2018. With this, Bangalore also unveiled their jersey for the upcoming season.

The atmosphere at Chinnasawmy was so energetic as the crowd kept chanting ‘Banglore, Bangalore….’ and cheered for their team ahead of the Indian T20 League. All the people present at the stadium turned on the flashlights of their mobile phones and started waving up in the air. The sight was a treat to watch for those who were present at the stadium. This was the best warm-up for the fans to get ready to cheer for their team in the upcoming season.

The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League will kickstart on March 31st with an opening match between the defending champions Gujarat and the four times champion Chennai at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Bangalore will begin their campaign at their home ground with a match against the Mumbai franchise on April 2nd. The tournament will be played across the country in 12 cities.
