Virat Kohli dances to Oscar winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ while fielding at slip in the first ODI against Australia

Australia and India battled it out once again for the ODI series which kicked off at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian bowlers put on a good show and kept Australia down to 188. Mohammed Shami was the wrecker in chief as he picked up 3-17 in his six-over spell. The Australians except Mitchell Marsh could not get starts and hence did not make a big total in the first innings.

The highlight of the first innings was Virat Kohli shaking a leg and dancing to the Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’ The video of Kohli’s dance has taken social media by storm. The Delhi batter had also given a pep talk to the Indian Team ahead of the Mumbai game. Kohli was also seen giving tips to his players.

Mohammed Siraj picked up 3-29 with the ball for India 

Rohit Sharma was not a part of the Indian Team for the first ODI. He missed the game because he attended his brother in laws wedding. Hardik Pandya led the side in place of Rohit. Mohammed Siraj picked up 3-29 in his spell of 5.5 overs. Ravindra Jadeja proved his worth with the ball and picked up 2-46 in his 9-over spell.  This was a good bowling performance from India.

In the second innings, Mitchell Starc was all over India like a rash as he dismissed Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. India were in a spot of bother at 39-4. KL Rahul and Jadeja stitched together a 150-run unbeaten partnership for the sixth wicket.  Rahul played a solid knock of 75 off 91 balls with seven fours and one six.

Jadeja showed why he was the best in the business for India. The all-rounder scored 45 off 69 balls with five fours and greatly supported the Karnataka batter. This was a great way for the Men in Blue to start the ODIs. The next two games will be held at Vishakhapatnam and Chennai. India will want to win the series and zero in on their World Cup combinations.
