India and Australia fought it out at the second Test in Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium where Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. The Kangaroos lost David Warner early but Usman Khawaja ground it out and played a wonderful innings of 81 off 125 balls with 12 fours and one six. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were out cheaply to Ravichandran Ashwin.

There was a heartwarming incident involving Mohammed Shami and a fan. He was spotted charging onto the field as he tried to get to Shami by evading security. But it was not to be as all his plans were thwarted by the security. The security guards in the stadium caught the boy and dragged him back to the stands. Shami watched the proceedings and then had a quick chat with the security personnel to go easy on the fan.
