Australian batter Glenn Maxwell scored a blistering century to help his team win the 3^rd T20 by 5 wickets. The win on Tuesday now means that Matthew Wade and his side go into the next game on Friday with the series score reading 2-1

India scored 222 runs on the board after being put into bat first. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the hero of the game as he scored an unbeaten ton for his side. The 26-year-old became the first Indian batter to score a century in the T20 format versus Australia.

Mukesh Kumar missed the game after it was learnt that he was set to get married on Tuesday. Avesh Khan came back into the Indian team and played for the men in blue after nearly one year.

Ruturaj Gaikwad century goes in vain as India loses to Australia –

Asked to chase 223 to win, the Australians took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners thanks to Travis Head and Aaron Hardie. There was no respite for the Indian bowlers as Travis Head yet again flayed the Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground before falling for 35.

Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan bowled well with dew playing a major role as the two chipped in with crucial wickets. Prasidh Krishna though had a horror day in the field as he was hit for 39 runs in his first two overs.

Glenn Maxwell was not out on 104 from 48 balls with 8 sixes and equal amount of fours. The winning hit came when Maxwell hit Krishna for a four to seal the deal for his side in the final ball of the game.

Earlier in the day, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ishan Kishan were out cheaply but Ruturaj Gaikwad made the day his own. The right-handed batter was not out on 123 from 57 balls to help India score their third 200 plus score in successive game. Suryakumar Yadav with 39 and Tilak Varma with 35 were the other contributors with the bat for India.
