Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli will once again be at the forefront of RCB’s title aspirations. he was in excellent form in IPL 2023 and carried that form to the ODI World Cup. The dynamics of RCB’s squads coupled with Kohli’s strengths and limitations mean that he will in all certainty, open the batting. That is the way to go as we have seen how dangerous he can be when he gets to be around for a longer duration. His experience will be pivotal as RCB need their batting to deliver in the absence of a strong bowling unit.

Faf du Plessis

The experienced South African will partner Kohli at the top of the order. His calm demeanour and calculated strokeplay offer stability, while his ability to rotate strike, and hit boundaries keeps the scoreboard ticking. He was in brilliant form in 2023 and the same will be expected of him this season. Having already led RCB for two seasons prior to this, there will be a little bit of pressure on the skipper as RCB are still searching for their maiden trophy.

Rajat Patidar

The breakout star of IPL 2022, Patidar’s absence in 2023 hurt RCB big time. Their middle order lacked confidence and RCB had to continuously change personnel. Hence, Patidar’s return will let the camp breathe easily. He has been in good form of late and his versatility and form will be the key as the team hasn’t managed to procure any other options for the role that he offers.  He can play the anchor’s role if needed or unleash his big-hitting prowess when the situation demands which makes him an important asset.
