Team India is all set to face South Africa in the opening game of the ODI series, slated to commence on December 17. Notably, the Men in Blue have levelled up the recently concluded T20I series, but they will be looking to win the ODI series against the hosts under the captaincy of KL Rahul.

However, South Africa is a dominant team on their home soil, and they will be looking to outclass the visitors completely in the ODI series. Meanwhile, South African stand-in skipper Aiden Markram is ecstatic to face the ODI World Cup 2023 runners-up. The great all-rounder says that Team India is the best team to compete with them.

“India can almost field three sides and compete with the best in the world. We have something similar in terms of new faces. It’s an opportunity to look at players and pave the way forward in 50-over cricket,” Aiden Markram said in the pre-match conference.
