The Big Show’s presence adds explosiveness to the middle order. His ability to hit sixes at will and bowl handy off-spin makes him a valuable match-winner. Glenn Maxwell‘s potential has never been in doubt but there was no doubt that he was a hit-or-miss player. However, over the last few years, he has managed to add consistency to his game and that has made him a different beast altogether. He has been in some magnificent form over the last few months and that bodes well for RCB.

Cameron Green

Royal Challengers Bangalore made a bold move ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, acquiring Australian all-rounder Cameron Green in a trade with Mumbai Indians for a whopping Rs. 17.5 crore. This hefty price tag puts Green under the spotlight and raises expectations for his performance in the upcoming season. He will be expected to play a huge role in the middle-order to allow the senior to breathe easy.

Mahipal Lomror

The talented youngster impressed in the limited opportunities in 2023. However, his returns were not helped by the fact that there was constant chopping and changing. RCB must invest faith in him as we saw his impressive game against spin last year. His aggressive batting style can provide impetus in the middle overs and take the pressure off the big guns which is a must considering that this has hurt them time and again.

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik had a miserable run in IPL 2023 but the franchise has shown faith in him. He will need to be back at his best and put in performances similar to those that he put up in the 2022 edition. During that edition, he emerged as a clinical finisher, winning plenty of games for RCB. Considering that they play 7 of their games at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Karthik must find form early and prove his worth.
