The 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India. The tournament is slated to take place between October 5 to November 19. The tournament will be held in 10 different venues across India. This time the World Cup will be conducted there with India as the sole host. 2011 was the last time the ODI World Cup was held in India. At that time the World Cup was co-hosted by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India. The first game will be held between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The World Cup will be very hotly contested as other sides have had some good experience of playing in Indian conditions thanks to a lot of tours to India and also the Indian Premier League where a lot of overseas players come in and play T20 cricket for a 2 month duration in the subcontinent. For India, they will have a big chance to erase their nine-year drought of winning a World event since nine-years. The last time the Men in Blue won a World event was in 2013.
Here is the procedure to book tickets online on the official website of the Cricket Governing Body
There will also be offline tickets which will be available, but there will be a very limited supply of offline tickets as this will avoid chaos at venues because fans will throng the stadiums in huge numbers to watch the games on home soil. This is also because of the cricket craze in India. Aggregators like Paytm, Bookmyshow and Paytm Insider will sell match tickets for the World Cup.
