Meanwhile, during the first ODI game against Australia, Ashwin also took the opportunity and showcase his bowling prowess. He gave away just 47 runs in 10 overs on a flat track.

However, what attracted fans and cricket experts was his sheer dedication to improving his batting abilities. As the game was finished by the batters, Ashwin didn’t get a chance to bat in the game. However, he went to the net just after the match and batted fluently to improve his abilities. It’s worth noting that team management is looking for a bowling all-rounder who can bat at number 8.

According to some fans, Team Management should give a fair chance to both Ashwin and Sundar to prove their worth before getting into the World Cup squad. Some fans alleged that the team is going with Ashwin without giving Sundar a fair chance.

It’s worth noting that Sundar played the last ODI game for India during the finals of the Asia Cup 2023. However, after the tournament, India skipper Rohit Sharma revealed that Ashwin was not available for selection, which is why team management played Sundar. Meanwhile, India is set to announce their final ODI World Cup squad by September 28th, after the completion of an ongoing three-match series against Australia.
