The 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India. According to a report by Rev Sports, the Narendra Modi Stadium is set to host the India- Pakistan game. The fixtures list for the 2023 ODI World Cup was released recently. Whenever India and Pakistan have faced off against each other in ODI World Cup matches since 1992, India has beaten Pakistan 7-0 till now.

In other India-Pakistan cricket news, it appears that the Asia Cup logjam has been resolved and Jay Shah, the ACC president, has accepted Pakistan’s hybrid model. The hybrid model proposed to conduct the India games at another venue, while the rest of the games be played as scheduled in Pakistan. The other venue is likely to be Sri Lanka and the games will be conducted at Galle and Pallekele.

Pakistan’s 2023 ODI World Cup games are likely to be held at Chennai and Hyderabad

A resolution of acceptance for the hybrid model is likely to be passed on Tuesday. This would mean that Pakistan would also have no issues with regard to travelling to India for the 2023 ODI World Cup. “Oman Cricket board chief Pankaj Khimji, one of the respected ACC executive board members, was given a task to broker a solution as most countries did not prefer the hybrid model.

“But as of now four non-India games — Pakistan vs Nepal, Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh — will be held at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore. “The two India vs Pakistan games and all other Super Four Games will be held in either Pallekele or Galle,” quoted NDTV. The Asia Cup is slated to be held in September.

With all the roadblocks getting cleared for both sides, it looks like Pakistan will come down to India and take part in the ODI World Cup 2023. When it comes to the 50-over World Cup, Pakistan’s games are likely to be held at Hyderabad and Chennai. The last edition of the 50-over Asia Cup was held in the United Arab Emirates in 2018. In 2023, the 50-over version of the Asia Cup will be held to help in preparation for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
