The much-awaited announcement of the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup took place on Monday which made the cricket-loving public in India go crazy. The pace attack looks strong with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returning back to the fold. Mohammad Shami has been drafted into the squad as a standby fast bowler.
The spin department is very experienced as well with the responsibility falling on Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel. Ravi Bishnoi is in the standbys as a backup leg spinner. With regards to the keeper’s slot, there has been a heated debate about who should the preferred choice be. Will it be Rishabh Pant or Dinesh Karthik, but in the end, both have earned a spot in the Indian Team for the 20-20 World Cup.
It is still a mystery as to who will be the more wanted option in the playing eleven. Will the management go with the X-factor of Rishabh Pant or the finishing skills of Dinesh Karthik? The question will only be answered just before India’s first game of the 20-20 World Cup.
The pace department has a lot of depth this time around, which was not the case in Asia Cup 2022. The big omission is Ravindra Jadeja, who is still recovering after his surgery that he underwent for his knee injury and for that reason Axar Patel comes in for Ravindra Jadeja as a left-hand batting option in the middle order and also as one who can bowl his full quota of overs of left arm spin.
Hardik Pandya will only be used as the sixth bowling option at the World Cup and the way the seam attack is put in place, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will bowl at the top for India in tandem with Jasprit Bumrah.
Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (VC), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, R Pant (WK), Dinesh Karthik (WK), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Y Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, B Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
Mohd. Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar

Now a days being a fan of @IamSanjuSamson is the toughest thing…
It's very shocking Sanju Samson is not in any India's squad, not in T20 world cup squad and not even for Australia and South Africa series. pic.twitter.com/74S9Lw3WR5— JOHN BRITTO WALTER (@JOHNBRITTOWALT2) September 13, 2022

People question Ravichandran Ashwin's place in India's T20 World Cup squad are forgetting that he has 14 wkts in the last 10 T20Is for India at an Econ of 6.10, which is the best among Indian spinners with a min. of 10 wkts since 2021.
He is the best defensive spinner India has.

Rohit Sharma was dropped from the World Cup squad in 2011, but this time he will lead Team India in the T20 World Cup.
This journey is the true example of Rohit's tweet "Sun Will Rise Again Tomorrow". His journey is full of inspiration. Very proud of you @ImRo45🥺❤️#RohitSharma pic.twitter.com/qb95E76XK3— Tanay Vasu (@tanayvasu) September 13, 2022

Surprising to not see Umran Malik in the India squad for the world t20. He can bowl 150 mph, he could be super valuable on Australian pitches
