On the other hand, this will be South Africa’s first T20I assignment after the last year’s World Cup.
As of now, both teams have played 15 T20I matches between them. Among them, India won nine times while South Africa won six times with two games ending in ‘no result’. However, in India, these teams faced four-time so far. South Africa has an edge over India by winning three of those. India managed only one win.

The Delhi pitch is generally on a slower side and the boundary sizes of this ground are not so big. Hence, teams can look to bat first to put a good total on the board early. Batting second, the batter can find it hard to hit the ball due to the slowish nature of the pitch. Even, spinners can come into action in the second innings.
