Ever since he arrived in the international arena, former India captain Virat Kohli has been able to score runs for fun. He has impressed everyone with his dedication to this beautiful sport. His approach to the game has helped him to achieve several milestones in his career. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is not an exception as he heaped high praises for him. He drew light on Kohli’s mindset.

Virat has played 458 international matches so far, where he scored 23650 runs at an average of 54.11. Despite playing such an amount of cricket over the years, he still brings his 100% intensity to each and every game. Stoinis showered massive praises on this while speaking on Cricbuzz.

Stoinis said that it is quite astonishing that despite playing so many matches throughout all these years, Virat still manages to bring such an intense and focused mindset to every game he plays. This aspect of Kohli has helped his teams to get charged up and motivated. It also helped him to bring out the best possible results from both the individual and team perspectives. Even, in the Indian T20 League, he played 223 matches as of now, and has scored 624 runs at an average of 36.20.

Meanwhile, Stoinis played 89 International matches so far. In which, he bagged 1765 runs along with 45 wickets. He is now an integral part of Australia’s white-ball setup due to his all-around abilities.    

Speaking about the upcoming series, Team India is scheduled to host South Africa in their home from 9 June in a five T20I match series. However, Virat was given a rest ahead of this series. On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis is in the squad for Australia’s T20I series in Sri Lanka, starting from 7 June 2022.
