India have sustained two blows in the five-match test series against England. Ravindra Jadeja, the spin-bowling all-rounder who lost by 28 runs in the first test in Hyderabad, will be unable to play the second test in Visakhapatnam.
Ravindra Jadeja was seen walking off the field following his dismissal in India’s second innings in Hyderabad. Jadeja complained of hamstring pain and underwent scans following the game. Here are three potential replacements for Ravindra Jadeja in the second Test against England.
1. Kuldeep Yadav
Ravindra Jadeja’s injury might open the way for Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian playing XI. For the past 13 months, Kuldeep Yadav hasn’t played a single test for India. Kuldeep Yadav played his final test against Bangladesh in December 2022. Team management may elevate Axar Patel to the batting order and add Kuldeep Yadav as the third spinner in the playing XI, alongside Axar and Ravi Ashwin. Kuldeep Yadav has played eight test matches for India and taken 34 wickets.
