Some loyal fans had gathered to see the Indian stars in action. The fans were near the practice area as the Indian stars were getting all in readiness for their high-voltage clash against Pakistan. The fans were overjoyed to see their stars and there was a lot of clapping, cheering, and whistles from the fans present at the ground.

There was a lot of love shown to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The fans engaged in the patriotic chant of ‘Vande Mataram’ when Kohli was batting in the nets and the superstar batter responded by playing a reverse sweep against Yuzvendra Chahal.

There was a world of difference in the sense that all the members of the Indian side had turned up to the practice session on October 22 (Saturday) after a few players had missed the optional practice session on October 21 (Friday). On Saturday there was everyone present and as always, the attention was centred on Kohli.

Here are some pictures

Kohli will be India’s key pillar in the batting order as they look to win their second 20-20 World Cup after 15 years. Ever since the Asia Cup, he has been in tremendous form. Kohli’s record in Australia is outstanding, he averages 64 in T20Is in Australia and has scored the most runs in the shortest format of the game here.

I love the conditions in Australia – Virat Kohli

“Australia doesn’t feel alien to me. The World Cup is a different emotion, you play only for these moments,” Kohli said ahead of the clash against Pakistan. Rohit had said in an interesting statement that the team composition should be a mix of intuition and data. This comes at a time when India have used 29 cricketers in the last year.

“There are times like this time when we don’t have much information about how teams have fared at this time of the year. At times, you depend on your instincts and choose the player on current form and how he is doing,” Rohit said on Saturday.
“But we also study a lot of data. I am open about my playing XI. I don’t mind having one or two changes per game in the playing XI.”
