Virat Kohli, the Indian giant, fared well in the Asia Cup 2022 and also managed to score his 71st international century against Afghanistan in the tournament. The batter looked confident in the T20I series against Australia and South Africa and managed to contribute with the bat for team India.

Ahead of the start of the 20-20 World Cup against Pakistan, the Indian star and wicketkeeper opened up on the Indian star batter and said that he would stun the spectators with his batting and added that it is always nice to play alongside Kohli.

Rishabh Pant, who is struggling to find his form, said that it was nice to have him in the squad earlier in the Asia Cup and added that it would be the same in the showpiece event as well. Kohli and Pant have shared a great bond both on and off the field and it will be no different in the mega tournament as well.

It is nice batting with him as always: Pant

Pant, who heaped praise on the Indian giant, said that Kohli taught him how to take the game on and lauded the veteran for sharing his experience as and when needed for the youngsters.

“He (Kohli) can actually teach you how to go through situations, which might help you in your cricket journey going forward, so it is nice batting with him as always. It’s good to have someone with a lot of experience batting with you because he can take you through how to take the game on and how to maintain that run-a-ball pressure kind of thing,” Pant said on Kohli to Cricket’s governing body. The former Indian skipper took a break prior to the start of the Asia Cup and made a stunning comeback that he ended up as the leading runscorer for the team in the continental tournament.

While the world awaits Kohli to take on the arena from October 23, the forecasters, on the other hand, predicted a washout due to extreme weather conditions in Melbourne from October 21.
