‘Easy W for India’ – Fans react as Indian Olympic Committee head meets Indian cricket team in Asian games 2023

The Indian Olympic committee chairman met the Indian cricket team ahead of their campaign in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. The IOC chairman wished the Indian players the best wishes for their campaign in the tournament. He personally wished every player in the squad and asked them to bring home the gold medal by giving good performance in the event. The players then posed for a group photo along with the IOC chief.

The IOC head interacted with every player from the Indian squad. the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravi Bishnoi, Tilak Varma, Rahul Tripathi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh, and others were seen interacting with the IOC chief. The IOC chairman had a talk with the Indian captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and wished him all the luck for the Indian campaign. India is set to start its campaign in cricket soon.

For being one of the top-seeded teams, India got a bye in the group stage of the tournament. India will play directly in the quarterfinal stage. The opponent for India is yet to be decided. Teams like Nepal, Maldives, Cambodia, Singapore, Mongolia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, and others are competing with each other to make it to the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.

The Indian squad has some good names in the tournament. Despite the big players not taking part in the tournament due to the ODI World Cup, the teams still have some exciting talents. Along with India, even the other giants of the Asian continent like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Afghanistan have sent a different squad with not-so-familiar faces for the Asian Games 2023.
