India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is back in some cricket action as he played a warm-up game which was a part of the rehabilitation process. Pant played a warm-up match in Alur. As Indian Premier League is round the corner Rishabh Pant would be fit to play in IPL 2024.

In 2022 Rishabh Pant had a car accident due to which he was out of action for 15 months. He underwent surgery on his right knee ligament. In his absence, David Warner was named as captain for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023. As per reports, Rishabh Pant will play in IPL 2024 as batter and captain for Delhi Capitals. He won’t be doing wicket-keeping for Delhi Capitals for IPL 2024.

For rehabilitation, Rishabh Pant was in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. In his recovery time, he made good progress. He shared each detail of his rehabilitation on social media platforms.

Will Pant get fully fit before the T20 World Cup 2024?

As per reports, Pant will play in IPL 2024 as batter and captain for Delhi Capitals. He won’t be doing wicket-keeping for Delhi Capitals for IPL 2024. In his absence, David Warner was named as captain for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023. In IPL 2023 Delhi Capitals finished ninth in the points table.

It is great news for Delhi Capitals and India cricket fans as the 2024 T20 World Cup is going to be held in the West Indies and USA in June. As Rishabh Pant eyes to represent India in the T20 World Cup as he missed the 2023 ODI World Cup due to injury.
