India was kicked out of the 20-20 World Cup in a humiliating fashion by England in the semi-final. A 10 wickets loss of one of the favourites have has sent the Indian team fans into meltdown and questions are now being asked of all including the team management, players as well as the captain.

Rohit Sharma, the current Indian team captain not only failed with the bat but also failed to motivate his players in crunch situations. Given his abject performance at the front, many fans are now calling for him to be sacked.

It is the former captain Virat Kohli, who led the Men in Blue with his 296 in 6 matches, is asked again to be the captain of the team by the fans. A video that is getting increasingly viral on Twitter and other social media shows fans calling for Kohli to become captain again.

“Bring Kohli back as the captain. He is the captain of the World Cricket team. It is a joke he’s sitting out and is not the captain,” said a fan on Zee News’s show.

Another fan was of the same opinion and also lashed out at Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, saying, “Duniya kahan se kahan pahunch gayi hai aur aap Rahul Dravid ko leke aa rahe hain coach banake jiski saari zindagi test me itne aaram se thuk thuk karke nikli hai. Aapko mindset badalna padega. KL Rahul aur Rohit Sharma ko ghar bhej dena chahiye tha World Cup se pahle hi. (The World has moved on but they have brought Rahul Dravid who spent his whole life playing slow in Test cricket. You’ll have to change your mindset. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma should have been sent back home before the start of the World Cup.)

India despite a thrilling win against Pakistan did not look like a strong team at the 20-20 World Cup. The Rohit Sharma-led side were defeated by South Africa and faced close calls against Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In the semi-finals, they lost to England by a massive 10 wickets; a loss that has started a chain reaction and many changes will have to be made into the team as a result of it.
