MS Dhoni has been practising in the training camp and in the nets at the MA Chidambaram stadium ahead of the Indian T20 League 2023. Amidst all this, a video of MS Dhoni painting and refurbishing the seats at the Chepauk. In the video, Dhoni takes the spray gun and sprays the yellow paint on a row of yellow seats. He then goes to another corner where the blue seats are situated and sprays paint on that seat as well.
The Chennai captain was seen testing out the spray gun. The former India captain was seen talking to someone. He tells the person that the spray gun is working fine. The-41-year-old was seen enjoying the whole exercise. There was a smile on his face when he was doing the work. When the video was put out on social media, fans were in awe of his simplicity. Dhoni has been in Chennai for quite some time.
Dhoni has led Chennai to four titles in the Indian T20 League
Thala was seen putting in the hard yards for the Indian T20 League. Some time back, a picture of MS Dhoni’s biceps had gone viral. The former India captain had bulked up. He had beautifully chiselled biceps. Some fans and experts were pointing out that this can bring out Dhoni’s power game in this Indian T20 League edition.
The right-handed batter has been with Chennai since the inception of the Indian T0 League in 2008. He has led the franchise to four titles in the Indian T20 League. Chennai have qualified for the playoffs 9 times in the tournament. There were some reports that, this Indian T20 League could be Dhoni’s last. If that transpires, Chennai will want to win the trophy and give Dhoni a fitting farewell.
The franchise has not had the best of seasons in the Indian T20 League in 2020 and 2022. In 2020 Chennai had six wins and eight losses with 12 points. The franchise finished 7th on the points table. Chennai bounced back and won the Indian T20 League in 2021. But in 2022, they had a sudden change of captain. The move with Ravindra Jadeja did not bear fruit. Chennai finished 9th that season.
