India and Pakistan will lock horns against each other on September 2. The two teams will lock horns at Pallekelle in Sri Lanka. Although there is a rain threat, fans from all over the world will be hoping that a full game can be played. Pakistan and India would like to face each other twice in the Asia Cup and also once more if both teams get to the final. Ahead of the big clash, the mind games have begun. Shadab Khan said that Pakistan have specific plans in place to take Virat Kohli.
The big battle will be between the Indian batters and the Pakistan bowlers. The likes of Kohli and Rohit Sharma would want to come good ahead of the big game. But the task is easier said than done as Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf can threaten the Men in Blue. The last time the two sides met was in the T20 World Cup 2022 where Kohli smashed an unbeaten 82 to help India win a cliffhanger that unfolded at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Men in Blue won by four wickets.

“He is definitely a world-class player. You have to plan a lot for him. In international cricket, there are a lot of mind games. The batsmen and the bowlers have to read each other’s minds. Shadab Khan said on Star Sports,” Shadab said. “The way Virat Kohli bats, the way he took away the game from us last time in the World Cup (T20). I don’t no other batsman in the world would have been able to win the game from that situation against our bowling lineup. That is his beauty, he can do whatever he wants at any stage of the game.”
Kohli and Rohit Sharma are coming off a good break. They have not played the T20I games and all ODIs against West Indies. the duo will want to get amongst the runs in the continental tournament. The cricket-loving Sri Lankan public will be hoping for a cracking contest on Saturday between the two Asian rivals.
