Asian Games 2023: Schedule for India’s team events announced, Women’s cricket team set to start their campaign on September 21

As the prestigious Asian Games 2023 approaches, India’s schedule for team events has been revealed. According to the schedule, the Indian women’s team will start their campaign on September 21. Meanwhile, team events will start on September 19.

It’s worth noting that India will be participating in the T20 cricket event for the first time. They will directly participate in the semifinals of the tournament, as they have qualified for it directly on the basis of T20I rankings. They will wait for the results of the other qualifying games. However, the team will play without skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, as she is facing a one-match ban due to her unruly behaviour.

Talking about other events, India’s Men’s football team will start their campaign on September 19. They will face China in their first game. The team will be led by star Indian striker Sunil Chhetri. However, Chhetri and the company will face Bangladesh on September 21. Meanwhile, the men’s volleyball team will start their campaign against hosts South Korea on September 21.

When will India’s men’s cricket team start their campaign?

It’s worth noting that India’s men’s cricket team will be led by the youngest player, Ruturaj Gaikwad. They will also start their campaign directly from the semi-finals, as they have qualified for it on the basis of T20I rankings. The Indian team will play in their inaugural Asian Games and will face a qualifying team on October 3.

India will be sending one of the biggest contingents for the prestigious multi-sport event.
