The Asia Cup is the only continental tournament to be held even today. This tournament is held between the Five big teams in Asia which include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This tournament is organized by the Asian Cricket Council and is usually held once every two years.
The tournament has been played alternatively in the ODI and the T20 formats in recent times. India is the defending champions in the Asia Cup. They won the last edition that was organized in the UAE. The upcoming edition will again be played in the Middle Eastern country in 2022. Sri Lanka will have the hosting rights for the tournament.

MS Dhoni is known as the ‘Captain Cool’ and the man with a Midas Touch. He has won 9 times in the Asia Cup when he captained the team in 14 matches. India has done well under the leadership of MS Dhoni. He led the team and won Asia Cup titles for India in 2010 and 2016 when the tournament was held in the ODI and T20 format. respectively.
Out of the 14 matches that he has led India in he has won 9 matches and lost 4 of them. He has tied 1 match against Afghanistan. He has a win percentage of 67.85. India won the last edition of the Asia Cup in 2018 as well which was hosted in the UAE.
