As India is set to host the World Cup 2023 in October–November this year, fans are eagerly waiting for the tickets. It’s worth noting that the Apex Cricket Council and the Indian Cricket Board announced the schedule for the marquee event earlier this month. Since then, speculations over the ticket price and availability have been buzzing on Social media.
While the highest cricket body has remained tight-lipped about World Cup 2023 ticket prices, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has released the ticket prices for the Eden Gardens matches. The ticket prices have been released by CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, with the lowest starting at Rs. 650 and the maximum at Rs. 3000.
Kolkata is set to host several exciting matches in the upcoming cricket tournament. The first match on October 28 will feature an intense clash between the Netherlands and Bangladesh, starting at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for this match are categorised as follows: Rs 650 for all Upper Tiers, Rs 1000 for D H blocks, and Rs 1500 for B C K L blocks.
The second and fourth games in Kolkata will showcase captivating encounters between Pakistan and Bangladesh, as well as England and Pakistan, respectively. Ticket prices for these matches will be Rs 800 for the upper tiers, Rs 1200 for D H blocks, Rs 2000 for C K blocks, and Rs 2200 for B L blocks.
The excitement continues to build with the third match, where the hosts, India, will take on South Africa on November 5. Additionally, the highly anticipated Semi-Final 2 on November 16 will see the 2nd and 3rd-placed teams battling it out. Ticket prices for these crucial matches will be slightly higher, set at Rs 900 for the upper tiers, Rs 1500 for D H blocks, Rs 2500 for C K blocks, and Rs 3000 for B L blocks.
It’s worth noting that if Pakistan qualifies for the semifinals, they will surely play their game in Kolkata instead of Mumbai. Meanwhile, if India qualifies for the semifinals and faces Pakistan, they will play their game in Kolkata due to security reasons. Apart from Kolkata, Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium is another venue to host the World Cup semifinals.

It'll be impossible to get a single ticket considering these cheap prices. Blackers will have a field day. They should start something like giving 2-3 tickets to an individual based on their government identity cards.
