Star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is, currently, running out of cricket due to multiple injuries. The 25-year-old batter suffered a massive car accident around the new year. The accident led to multiple severe injuries in the knees and back.
His injury forced him to miss the, recently concluded ,Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, the wicketkeeper-batter is recovering well and has shared the latest glimpses of his therapy session.
In the latest post, Pant shared a video of his aquatic therapy session. In the video, Pant can be seen undergoing water therapy as he was in a swimming pool. He was walking in the pool with the help of a walking stick. Notably, the burn scars on his back are still visible and indicate the severity of his accident.
Here is the video:

However, while sharing the video, pant also shared an inspiring message that indicates his positive mindset. The message reads, “Grateful for small things, big things, and everything in between.”
Due to the severity of his injuries, the young Delhi batter is likely to miss some major cricketing events in the upcoming months. The Delhi Skipper is set to miss the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. He will be replaced by David Warner, who is set to lead the franchise.
Meanwhile, according to reports, the young batter will need around six months to get fully recovered and match fitness is another thing. He might make a comeback during Asia Cup in September 2023. The tournament can help him to prepare for the 50-over World Cup which is set to be organized in October-November in India itself.
However, it is a very good indication that the batter is walking on his own and recovering at a good speed. Fans have reacted to his post and wish him a speedy recovery. A Twitter user said, “Come back soon champ we need you.”
