The Pakistan Super League created a lot of buzz as a funny incident happened in the match between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United. On the fourth ball of the fourteenth over of the innings, the bowler bowled a 150 kmph lightning bolt at Shadab Khan and he was out bowled due to an inside edge.

The shot that Shadab had played to get out did not please him one bit. He was so angry that he uttered the ‘Ben Stokes expletive’. Some time back, Virat Kohli had uttered the same in Hindi and at that time also, it had created a lot of buzz. Since no damage was done to the stump mic that expletive was heard on the stump mic.

Here is the video-

“Yep, that’s what pace can do,” Nick Knight said during commentary. Shadab was so furious for playing that kind of wild shot and getting out that he did not finish yet as he threw the helmet on the ground when he went past the boundary line. The Pakistan Leg-spinner could face some punishment for his actions and how the incident unfolded.

Shadab Khan might face a 25 per cent match fine according to the PSL playing conditions

“Swearing in frustration at one’s own play or fortune”. In the rules of play, which are laid down in the PSL playing conditions, if this is deemed as an offence going by what Shadab did then he will be entitled to a fine which is a 25 per cent match fee. For Shadab’s side though the result was on the good side as United won by two wickets in a high-scoring encounter in the PSL.

The Sultans scored 205-5 in their 20 overs with Shan Masood scoring 75 off 50 balls, with 12 fours and Tim David scored 60 off 27 balls, with four fours and five sixes. The skipper Mohammed Rizwan chipped in with 33 off 18 balls, with one four and three sixes.

In the second innings, United won another thriller just like they had a few days earlier. In the run chase, Colin Munro scored 40 off 21 balls, with four fours and three sixes. Shadab scored 44 off 25 balls, with three fours and three sixes. The hero Faheem Ashraf scored an unbeaten 51 off 26 balls, with five fours and two sixes to guide his team home.
