Virat Kohli has been India’s finest captain when he led the side as he brought a revolution with the pace battery in India and introduced the fast bowlers in foreign conditions by fielding a quartet and got the best results for India in the form of back-to-back series wins in Australia and a great showing in the 2021-2022 tour of England.
Kohli was recently seen holding a dog and breaking into a wonderful smile. That picture has gone viral on social media. Kohli recently offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Indore which was also the venue of the third Test between India and Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Virat Kohli has made 12809 runs for India in the 50-over format
In the white flannels, Kohli has had an underwhelming series so far as he has not been among the runs in all three Test matches against Australia. He has the highest score of 44 in one innings in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy so far. Kohli has failed to get on top of the well-laid plans of the spin trio of Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy and Matt Kuhemann. The 34-year-old had also previously struggled in Bangladesh against spin.

He scored 296 runs in six matches at an average of 98.66 and a strike rate of 136.40. His best innings came in India’s opening game against Pakistan where he scored an unbeaten 82 to help India win a thriller at Melbourne. Kohli scored a century in T20 cricket in 2022 against Afghanistan.
When it comes to ODIs, Kohli recently broke into the top five run-getters in ODI cricket. Kohli has been in good form in ODI cricket as well with centuries coming against Sri Lanka and New Zealand at home. Kohli has scored 46 ODI hundreds and 64 ODI fifties. He has made 12809 runs in the 50-over format with the highest score of 183.
