He was first treated at a local hospital and then referred to Max Hospital in Dehradun. According to eyewitnesses, Pant’s car slammed into the railing and the car caught fire. He was severely injured post the accident. He was then taken to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road. It will testing times for Pant as things have been rocky with him recently.
The wicketkeeper batter was not included in the Sri Lanka squad for the limited-overs series against the Islanders. He was also due to come to the National cricket academy ahead of the Australia series. The left-handed batter was in good form in the Test series against Bangladesh. His last innings included a stroke-filled 93 at Dhaka which helped India to win the Test series 2-0.

Get well soon #RishabhPant . It's unfortunate that car accidents are becoming quite frequent leading to even loss of life. There is a need to reingineer the car safety standards , even for cheapest cars, to eliminate such untoward incidents.
