England and Pakistan clashed in the 20-20 World Cup Final on Sunday. With a chance to win their second 20-20 World Cup ever, both teams were expected to give their all in the crunch game.

It was a time for big players to step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck. One such player who took part in the game was the England player Adil Rashid.

Playing in the final Adil Rashid took to the bowling crease and came up with a performance of a lifetime. Coming onto bowl first after winning the toss, the England captain Jos Butler handed over the ball to Rashid in the seventh over.

On the first ball itself, the right-arm spinner got hard hitter Mohammad Haris out with a smart delivery. Rashid came up with an even more important wicket in the 12th over when he dismissed Pakistan captain Babar Azam with a wrong ‘un. Azam was cramped for room and played it directly to Rashid who took a diving catch and sent Pakistan’s captain back to the pavilion.

The over however was not done yet as the right-arm spinner bowled a wicket maiden in a World Cup final in the 12th over. Soon fans and analysts began praising the England bowler for his sensational performance in a high-pressure game.
