Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram criticized Babar Azam for asking Virat Kohli a signed jersey. After the match, Babar asked for a signed jersey from Virat, which was reportedly for the son of Babar’s uncle. The gesture of Babar and Virat went viral on internet and the fans praised the two cricketers for sharing a wholesome moment with each other. But it did not go well with everyone.
Former Pakistan cricketers criticized the Pakistan cricketers for the loss. Along with the performances of Pakistan cricketers, the former Pakistan cricketers criticized the things which did not matter in the result of the match. The panel which had the likes of former Pakistan cricketers like Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Wasim Akram took a jibe on Babar asking for signed jersey.
Wasim seemed to be angry on Babar for asking for the signed jersey. The former World Cup winner said that it was not the day to ask for the signed jersey from Virat. Akram said that Babar should have asked for the signed jersey from Virat in the dressing room after the game, but not in the stadium during the game.

“That’s what I exactly said when I saw the picture (Getting the shirts publicly, not privately). Today was not the day to do this. If you want to do it – (Agar chache ke puttar ne keh diya hai ki t-shirt chahiye Kohli ki) if your uncle’s son has asked you to get Kohli’s shirt – then do it after the game in the dressing room,” said Akram.
After the match, Babar said that they were not up to the mark against India. “We started well. Good partnership between me and Imam. We wanted to play normal cricket (Me and Rizwan). Suddenly we had a collapse and didn’t finish well. The way we started, wanted to target 280-290. With the new ball we are not up to the mark. The way Rohit is playing – he played an outstanding innings,” said Babar in the press conference.
