Shikhar Dhawan gives funny reply to video of Cheteshwar Pujara batting in nets

Gabbar cannot stop being hilarious.

The Indian Cricket Team is gearing up for the upcoming 2023 ODI World Cup. Cheteshwar Pujara though is going through the paces for the Indian domestic season ahead. The 35-year-old was dropped for the West Indies tour for his inconsistent form.

The right-handed batter from Saurashtra will be a part of the Irani Cup game. His side Saurashtra are defending champions of the Indian domestic title. Pujara is using this as a chance to make a comeback into the Indian Test side for the South Africa tour.

The veteran India batter recently took to Instagram and posted a short video of himself. This video went viral moments after it was posted with many fans lauding Pujara’s dedication. Shikhar Dhawan though had a different take which had the fans laughing.

Shikhar Dhawan comes up with hilarious advice to Pujara

Just like his timing while batting, Shikhar Dhawan is known to have a great sense of humor. The 37-year-old could not stop himself from having a slight banter with Pujara. This was after Pujara had posted a short video of himself batting in the nets.

Shikhar Dhawan was the first to comment on Pujara’s batting video on Instagram. The left-handed batter wrote “Bhai bas kar youngster ko bhi khelne de ab. Irani se tere liye Naani trophy ho gayi hai”

Cheteshwar Pujara last played for India in the finals of the World Test Championships in Oval. The 35-year-old scored 14 and 27 in India’s defeat to Australia in the game. This resulted in the right-handed batter getting dropped from the test squad.

36-year-old Pujara then rejoined his Sussex team and went on to score runs to force a comeback to the side. Shubman Gill was drafted to play at number 3 as India opened with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal during the West Indies series.

Out of the Indian Team, Shikhar Dhawan meanwhile is yet to divulge his playing future. The left-hander has not played for India since the Bangladeshi series in late 2022. Considered one of India’s best players in global tournaments, Dhawan wasn’t picked for the 2023 ODI World Cup.
