Fielding is a great skill in cricket. It is one of the most fundamental skills where the swiftness and agility of the player are taken into account. The fielders dive and try to stop the ball on the field. Jonty Rhodes and Ravindra Jadeja are some of the renowned names when it comes to fielding. This part of cricket is one of the most important aspects of the game.
In a village cricket match between Padghe and Rodpali, a wierd incident became the highlight and has been trending on the internet. While fielding on the boundary line, a Padghe player could not take hold of the ball.
He gave away a four and his antics had players from both sides laughing. When the video was doing the rounds on social media, it caught a lot of eyeballs and garnered a lot of views on the internet.

The cricket match was played by players above 40 years old. In the video, the bowler could be seeing bowling and the batter hits a scoop shot. The fielder that was fielding at third man tried to get hold of it but it bounces in front of him and the ball speeds away to the fence.
The man gives frantic chase and collects the ball, but he falls in an awkward position as he hits the ball with his feet. The ball bounces off his shoe and goes to the boundary. The man was looked frustrated and lets out a big sigh of defeat.
The caption of the video read, “Jonty level fielding,” and many users compared the man’s fielding to that of Rhodes, a former South African cricketer known for his excellent fielding skills.
“Reminds me of the guy who gets selected because he sponsors tournaments and equipment,” a user commented. Another user penned, “I have watched like 10 times and each time it was funnier than the previous.
The Indian T20 League will be held from the 31st of March in India. 10 teams will be taking part in the multilateral event which will be played for two months. The tournament happens annually in India.
