India and Bangladesh are facing off in the second Test that kicked off on December 22, Thursday and on Day 3, it was the Bangla Tigers who gave a tough time to the Indian team. To add more, the Indian batter Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 1 run and it was Mehidy Hasan, the off-break bowler who rattled the Indian top order.

At the end of Day 3, India were reeling at 45/4, with 100 runs required for the win and post conceding the wicket, the Indian superstar looked extremely unhappy and the video of him having a heated exchange with Taijul Islam went viral on the internet. Mohammed Siraj, who attended the press post the conclusion of the day, said that he was unaware of the same as he was taking an ice bath.

“To be honest, uss time mein ice bath le raha tha. I swear mujhe nehi pata kya huya tha uss time (I was taking an ice bath at that moment. So I did not see what happened then),” Siraj was quoted as saying when asked about Kohli’s exchange with Taijul.

We shouldn’t think too much: Mohammed Siraj

For the unversed, the likes of KL Rahul and Shubman Gill made their way back to their dressing room for cheap scores of 2 and 7 respectively, much to the dreariness of the Indian fans. Siraj, who opened up on the same, said that the fans and the team must not think too much as they had batters to come at that time.

“I  feel, we shouldn’t think too much now because we have lost just four wickets. We need around 80 (100) or so. We need just one batter to get set, Axar is showing right intent,” Siraj said. “Yes, we lost two wickets extra but Axar is set, he is showing good intent. We also have Rishabh (Pant) and Shreyas (Iyer) after that, so we shouldn’t think too much,” Siraj was quoted as saying.

On Day 4, in the first session, Mehidy managed to carry on with the form and remove the likes of Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel, while the Bangla Tigers skipper Shakib Al Hasan managed to pick the scalp of Jaydev Unadkat, restricting India 74/7, chasing a meagre target.
