Former India Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar felicitated the India Women U19 team for winning the U19 20-20 World Cup in South Africa on Sunday. India beat England in the final with a dominating display. England were bundled out for 68 on the back of an impressive bowling display with Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi and Prashasvi Chopra, picking up two wickets each.

India then chased down the target of 69 in the 14th over. Tendulkar showered high praise on the India  Women’s U19 Team, who became 20-20 World Cup Champions. The little master congratulated the girls on their stupendous feat. Tendulkar won the 50-over World Cup in 2011 after years of hard work and toil. He managed to get his hands on the converted World Cup Trophy.

“By winning this World Cup, you have given a dream to young girls in India, to represent the country,” Tendulkar said when the girls were facilitated at Ahmedabad before the start of the third T20I between India and New Zealand. He also talked about the Women’s Indian T20 League, and he believed it would be a big game-changer and would be historic in Indian Women’s cricket.
