India completed a 3-0 clean sweep over New Zealand as they recorded a 90-run win at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. After the third ODI, a video was posted by the Indian Cricket Board which had Gill and head coach Rahul Dravid having a chat on India’s win. Dravid praised Gill highly for his superlative performances and Dravid was asked how it felt to be in a dressing room which was in his name.

The adulation can be embarrassing at times- Rahul Dravid

In 2015, A dressing room at the Holkar Stadium was named after the India head coach. “How does it feel to enter the dressing room with your name on it?” Gill had asked Dravid in the video. “It feels good. You’re grateful for all the love I’ve received over the years from so many people. It’s a privilege to play this sport in this country. The love you receive is phenomenal and I was lucky to have the talent to play cricket and was able to do it for a long time,” Dravid said.

He made two hundreds which included an innings of 208 off 149 balls with 19 fours and nine sixes which helped India register a big total of 349-8 and win a thrilling encounter by just 12 runs.

India will take confidence from the 3-0 clean sweep in ODIs and will look to take the momentum forward in the three-match T20I series which will start in a couple of days against the Kiwis. The three T20Is will be held in Ranchi, Lucknow and Ahmedabad respectively. India will play the four match Test series against Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
