Jasprit Bumrah set to return in final Test against England: Reports

India is ready to face England in the final Test match of the series at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. India has won the Test series by 3-1 as they won the fourth Test match by 5 wickets in Ranchi. For the fourth Test match, India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was rested for managing his overload.

Since 2023, ODI World Cup Jasprit Bumrah has been a key member of the India team. He also played two Test matches against South Africa. In the second Test match against England in Vizag Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian fast bowler to top the Test rankings. He also became the fastest Indian bowler to take 150 Test wickets. His bowling heroics helped India to win over England by 106 runs as India levelled the series.

After the third Test match in Rajkot, he was rested for the fourth Test match which was played in Ranchi. During his absence, Akash Deep made his debut. Before the fourth Test match, the Indian Cricket Board released a statement that the decision was taken by keeping the duration of the series and the cricket he played in recent times. For the last Test match, Jasprit Bumrah may return after the long break. With 17 Test wickets so far in the ongoing Test series against England, he is the joint-highest wicket-taker.

KL Rahul to miss the last Test match against England

India has to face another setback as KL Rahul who was 90% fit before the third Test match has not yet fully recovered for the last Test match. He missed the third as well as the fourth Test match against England. As per reports KL Rahul is in London for further treatment. In the first Test match in Hyderabad, he reported pain in his right quadriceps. For the third Test, Devdutt Padikkal was announced as his replacement. In the last Test match, we may see Devdutt Padikkal making his Test debut for India in place of Rajat Patidar who has been struggling to find his form.
