WATCH: MS Dhoni sings Salaam E Ishq in viral video, takes social media by storm

MS Dhoni celebrated his 42nd birthday on July 7. The fans thronged social media in huge numbers to wish him. The fans hailed MS Dhoni for his innumerable contributions to Indian cricket. To add more flavour to the special day, Former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer Mohit Sharma shared a rare and unseen video of him singing the famous Bollywood song  ‘Salaam-E-Ishq Meri Jaan,’ from Amitabh Bachchan’s movie ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.’

When Mohit put out the video on social media it went viral and gained a lot of traction. When fans heard the video they could not get enough of it as the comments section was flooded with praises for MS Dhoni. Some of the fans went a step further and compared him to Bollywood singer Arijit Singh. In the video, MS Dhoni is seen wearing a CSK jersey while singing the song. The other people in the video are seen encouraging MS Dhoni to sing more and are fully appreciative of his singing skills.

MS Dhoni has won the T20, ODI World Cups and Champions Trophy for India

MS Dhoni is known to be a Kishore Kumar fan and loves songs sung by the singer. He has also attempted to sing them many times in the past. MS Dhoni was even recorded singing the song “Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar ” when he announced his retirement from his international cricketing career. The 2019 World Cup game was his last one in ODI cricket. Even when it comes to the Indian Premier League (IPL) he has held led CSK to five IPL titles.

MS Dhoni remains the only skipper to win the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy as captain. Under his reign, India also became the number one Test side. In ODIs, MS Dhoni amassed 10,773 runs with 10 centuries and 73 fifties. When it came to the art of acing a chase MS Dhoni was second to none as he would take the game deep and put the pressure back on the bowlers.
