MS Dhoni to retire after Indian T20 League 2023?

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will be seen back in action in the next year’s Indian T20 League. Ahead of the season, there have been many speculations on the retirement of the World Cup-winning captain from all forms of cricket. Dhoni had previously revealed in an interview that he will happily retire after playing his final game for the Chennai Franchise at their home ground M. Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.

With the Indian T20 League set to take place in the home and away format next year, the season could well turn out to be the last one for the 41-year-old veteran. Under Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai have clinched four titles of the Indian T20 League and are the second most successful franchise after Mumbai.

After finishing at the 9th position in the points table last season, Chennai will be looking for a dramatic turnaround and give a winning farewell to the ‘Captain Cool’.
