Indian star cricketers Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were seen sharing funny moments in the practice session ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 match against Australia. The two players were seen in the practice session along with other cricketers like Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Shami. All the players were seen practising in the nets.

Virat and Bumrah were particularly animated in the net session. The two star cricketers seemed to share some conversation with each other. It was Virat who cheerfully pulled Bumrah’s leg by imitating his bowling action, in a rather funny way. It was not perfect but resembled the way Bumrah bowls with his run-up. Virat was laughing at Bumrah’s reaction, as they further continued to practice in the nets.

Bumrah gave it back to Virat by imitating his batting action. Bumrah’s mimicking was funny as well. Both the star cricketers had a laugh at each other in the practice session and lighted up the mood of all the players in the entire practice session. As Virat and Bumrah mimicked each other’s actions, players who were around them like Ashwin, Kuldeep, Shami, and Jadeja had a laugh or two about it.

India likely to miss Shubman Gill against Australia

India is set to face a big setback before the match against Australia. Shubman Gill, the leading run scorer in ODIs in 2023, is likely to miss the first match of India’s campaign against Australia. The reports suggest that Gill has dengue fever and will not be able to play the match against Australia. In the absence of Gill, Ishan Kishan is likely to open the innings along with Rohit Sharma.

India has a good record against Australia in the ODI World Cup since 2010. in the last three World Cups, India has won two of the three matches against Australia. In 2011, India defeated Australia in the quarterfinal. In 2015, India lost to Australia in the semifinal. India won the group stage match against the former World Champions in 2019. Australia has a better head-to-head record against India in the tournament.
